Return and Refund Policy
To initiate a return or exchange:
- Email our Customer Service Team at detroitcolorsllc@gmail.com with your:
- Order number
- Reason for return
- Photos of the product and packaging
- Order number
- Our team will review your request within 2–3 business days.
- If approved, you will receive a return authorization and shipping instructions.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
A Return and Refund policy usually consists of:
- Terms of return (i.e. number of days)
- State of return (e.g. unworn)
- Reason for return:
We accept returns or exchanges for the following reasons: Incorrect item received; Missing pieces (eligible for free replacement parts rather than full return); Damaged or defective product upon arrival; Duplicate order or accidental purchase.
Products damaged due to customer mishandling or improper assembly are not eligible for return.

- Process of refund: Refunds are issued after the returned item is received and inspected. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Shipping fees are non-refundable, except in cases where Detroit Colors LLC shipped an incorrect or damaged item. If the item is not returned in its original condition, a partial refund may apply.
- Process of exchange: Exchanges follow the same review and approval process as returns. Replacement items will ship after the returned product is received and verified. For missing parts, customers may request free replacement pieces by contacting customer service with the specific part numbers.

Our standard shipping policy offers free shipping on all orders over $100 within the United States. For orders under $100, a flat rate shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied. We also offer expedited shipping options for an additional fee. All orders will be delivered via UPS or FedEx.
Orders typically ship within 1-2 business days. Standard shipping within the United States usually takes 5-7 business days, while expedited shipping takes 2-3 business days. International shipping times may vary.
All products sold by Detroit Colors come with a six-month warranty. If you experience any issues with your product within the first year of purchase, please contact our customer service team for assistance.

Detroit Colors offers select Brick Bears that feature transparent brick pieces and a small built-in light strip. If you’re ever unsure whether your model includes lighting, our customer service team is happy to help you confirm.
Minor scratches can occur when blocks rub against each other during transit, and packaging may occasionally open or tear from compression or sharp-edged pieces. Rest assured, these do not impact the quality or functionality of the blocks during assembly.
Because our building blocks use many small pieces, please start by checking the “Part Reference List” at the end of your instruction manual to confirm the part number and quantity missing. Once verified, contact our customer service team and we’ll send the replacement pieces to you free of charge.
